Golf R32
Apparently the owner of this beast didn't realise that the hosepipe ban had been called off way back in August last year ...... only kidding Matt!
The call was for a basic wash just to see what was lurking underneath the dirt with the likelihood of a full detail sometime later in the year.
So it was out with the pressure washer and the foam lance for a rinse followed by an application of Valetpro pH Neutral snow foam ...
The wheels were decontaminated and then the car was rinsed and then hand washed using Chemical Guys Maxi Suds Grape shampoo. The R32 was then dried with a Wooly Mammoth plush towel and it was job done ...
The car was by no means anywhere near fully detailed but the basic wash served it's purpose and we can now see what needs to be done before Matt trades it in for a Golf R ... you know it makes sense!
As can be seen from a close up of the badge the car definitely needs an application of tar and iron remover. Many people would be tempted just to use a bit of elbow grease to remove these small spots but eventually that would lead to clear coat damage such as swirl marks ...
A basic wash using the right techniques and materials can give excellent results ...
With a full detail this car is going to look pretty good indeed ...
Happy detailing - Dave.
