Audi A6 Avant - Meguairs Hybrid Ceramic Spray

I absolutely love working on this Audi and this beautiful car always looks in fantastic condition, especially after it has been detailed 😎 During 2020 I have worked on both the interior and exterior and that has helped to keep the A6 protected and in tip top shape.

All of my detail options start with a pressure wash application of the top rated Bilt Hamber Autofoam. This is a foam wash that helps to safely loosen, soften and remove any surface dirt before I even lay a mitt on the car. The door and boot shuts are also foamed to help remove any grime that likes to reside in these areas.

Korrosol fallout remover is always used to safely help remove brake dust and any iron particles that often gets caked onto alloy wheels. The wheel faces and barrels are then cleaned using my soft Wheel Woolie brushes and then rinsed with a pressure water.

The Audi then receives a pressure wash rinse followed by a hot water hand wash where I use several fresh and clean noodle mitts in order to avoid inflicting any swirl marks on the bodywork (unlike what you normally receive in most drive thru car washes these days!). My choice of shampoo is either Bilt Hamber Autowash or CarChem 1900:1 both of which give great and safe cleaning power. All trims, door and boot shuts, grills and nooks and crannies are then cleaned using Surfex HD and a combination of different detailing brushes.

Following another pressure wash rinse the A6 is then dried using a very plush Woolly Mammoth drying towel which once again helps to prevent any swirl mark damage to the bodywork.

If I am working on the interior then all mats are removed and washed if required and the carpets, seats and trim are all brushed and vacuumed to remove all hair, fine dust, dirt and stains. This is not a quick 5 minute 'once over' with the vacuum as I can easily spend an hour or more brushing and vacuuming an interior in order to get it spotlessly clean.

The glass is cleaned with Stoner Invisible Glass and the bodywork is treated to a coating of Sonax BSD or Done & Dusted Si, both of which produce great levels of gloss and provide a level of protection against the elements and road grime.

On my last visit the Audi was treated to a full decontamination of the bodywork. Korrosol fallout remover was sprayed over the entire bodywork of the car and this effectively dissolves any iron based grime, a lot of which is invisible to the naked eye, and this can then be gently and safely washed and rinsed away. The A6 was also treated to an application of Tardis powerful solvent cleaner which safely softens and melts away any pollen, sap and tar spots (particularly visible on white cars and usually located on the lower parts of the doors, door sills, wings and bumper areas). This contamination is then also gently washed and rinsed away and a clay bar used to safely remove any remaining contaminants.

The Audi was then given a coating of the fantastic Meguairs Hybrid Ceramic Spray which gives 6+ month of protection and the tyres dressed with Meguairs Endurance.
